I stepped away for a while to focus on my Etsy store: HeartlandHippieShop. There, I focus on creating one-of-a-kind statement pieces to amplify your beautiful inner divinity! Here, I’d like to share more depth of the HeartlandHippieShop story in the future.
I often want to go into greater detail about a piece I have recently created, so others know the backstory. I have also found journaling to be a very healthy activity for the mind. The idea for this blog is to give behind the scenes information, along with some personal life antidotes.
The freedom to express ourselves is one of the most magical things about being human on the earth plane. Our time here is finite. I believe it is important to play and experiment with your physical body. Part of that process is learning to express through style. Every physical body is unique. The key is to find what works best for you. Don’t worry about what others think!
My personal style is a unicorn-gypsy, hippie-raver, with a dash of emo-nineties-grunge. My favorite things to experiment with are bold colors, wild textures, and eclectic prints. The combinations are endless when you start pairing them together.
I am the best version of myself when I have stylized an outfit that accurately expresses how I feel. An example of this would be wearing a sparkly sequin jacket while attending a live music event with my husband. The piece enhances the vibe of our environment and creates positive emotions surrounding the experience itself.
The beautiful thing about expression through fashion, is that it’s a continuous upward spiral. Similarly to spiritual enlightenment, you learn as you go. Self-discovery can perpetuate individual growth. Individual growth can create confidence within. Confidence is contagious and can spark inspiration from one human to the next. Inspiration helps create art.
